Nice bird, reflection and catch!
Thank you very much, I’m glad you like it :-) I was sooo tempted to play with its feathers! Didn’t want to wake it up though :-)
Playing with it’s feathers would earn you a reward! (very territorial birds) :)) I’ll guarantee it would try very hard to peck you! :-)
:-) I know, they start hissing at the drop of a hat, even though they are used to thousands of tourists and regulars and commuters like me passing by and staring at them and hand-feeding them. I’ve not seen yet anybody pursued by the birds, though in a few cases I wished it happened (tourist overstepping their boundaries!). No matter how tempting, I treat them as wild rather than residents of a ‘petting zoo’, and I noticed all the park residents are quite good at looking tame until they take the food out of your hand, but running away just as you’re about to touch them :-) The only ones that accept a touch are the pelicans, who get fed by the park staff (and tourists are told NOT to feed them) – but even they are very keen to keep their boundaries: they might tolerate tourists squatting next to them, posing for a picture, but when they had enough they let everybody know :-) One stretch of those wings and the crowd scatters!
