In 2003 I created a series of 12 mandalas as part of a psychological healing process for BIMLE (blurriness in my left eye). I designed True Warrior with a former Native American boyfriend in mind. He showed a strong sense of pride for his heritage, which was one of the things I admired about him.

Mandala’s Message: “Be strong of heart. Still
the mind. Be of joyful spirit.”

In 1999 on a trip to Egypt, I began drawing my first mandalas. Throughout the region, I saw amazing patterns on almost every site we visited. My analytical mind loved the geometry of the Islamic and Egyptian art. My heart & soul loved their beauty & symmetry. After I returned, I saw patterns in everything around me. I translate these into mandalas. In 2000 I added meditation to the process so that I could fully explore their metaphysical natures while guiding me on my own spiritual journey.
