In 2002 I learned of my creative spirit guide, Ahna. I created this mandala design while meditating about Ahna. When I look at this design, I see 12 beings in long hooded robes holding hands around the circle; their feet pointed towards the flowered center.
Mandala’s Message: There is peace in knowing that you are always there for me.
In 1999 on a trip to Egypt, I began drawing my first mandalas. Throughout the region, I saw amazing patterns on almost every site we visited. My analytical mind loved the geometry of the Islamic and Egyptian art. My heart & soul loved their beauty & symmetry. After I returned, I saw patterns in everything around me. I translate these into mandalas. In 2000 I added meditation to the process so that I could fully explore their metaphysical natures while guiding me on my own spiritual journey.
