I created this mandala with my mother in mind. She believed in the American dream of a nice home, with a white picket fence laces with roses. I did this as a tribute to her dream and to her. Growing up, my mother and I often butt heads over issues of acceptance of the other unconditionally.
Twelve roses adorn this mandalas; some as buds, others as they are just opening, and the a couple in full bloom. The all-encompassing rose in the background represents love without conditions. In the process of creating this mandala, I feel that I worked through whatever residual issues I had with my mother.
Mandala’s Message: “I love and accept you just as you are.”
