This is a Grain Shed – ever hear of one? I know I didn’t until I showed a local farmer this image. I have traveled many back country roads and have never see one of these. It was used of course to store grain back in the day much like a grain bin today.
The open door in the side of the shed is a man-sized door – to help give you some dimension to the size of the shed. This picture was taken way south in the province of Alberta, Canada. Those hills way out there are located in the United States in the state of Montana. The Sweet Grass Hills are a bit of novelty in this area being so far away from the Rocky Mountains while being surrounded by flat farmland.
On this morning I was up before dawn and traveled over an hour with my photography buddy (Nolan) to get us out in this area of the Province to get shots of whatever caught our eyes.
