Shot with a Nikon D200, 12-24mm lens @ 15mm, F/16, ISO 100, tripod, cable release. 7 shot HDR, merged/mapped in Photomatix, levels, crop, saturation, etc in Photoshop.

Hi Alex, this is a lovely HDR shot of the infamous boathouse. I like the reflection, comp, treatment and mood. Well done and I look forward to seeing more shots either taken now or when you return, later in the season. An instant fave. Cheers Elana.
Alex Stojan replied
Thanks Elana, glad you like it. Do you live in Melbourne? I was going to suggest we both make a day of it.
Elana Bailey
Alex, alas I live in Adelaide. My sister has a b&b in Sassafras, just down the road. So, I visit the gardens when I’m staying at her lovely b&b. (www.thesass.com.au) – you should check it out. Great for autumn and winter stays….small plug. Cheers Elana.
Alex Stojan replied
No worries Elana, if you come down to visit let me know! I’ll check out her site, might come in handy :) Cheers

Will do and thanks, Alex. Cheers Elana.

I love the green … I miss the mountains so much!
I used to live in a tiny cabin in Ferny Creek & work at Kate Kelly’s on Mt Dandenong It was the two best years of my life! I so miss it! The mountains are a completely different pace and such a relaxing and rewarding way to live!
Thank you for this image I will look at it often and remember my mountain life
Chookas! ♥
Alex Stojan replied
Thanks adgray, I’m glad it has such an effect on you! It certainly is a beautiful up there, I wish I had more time (and cash) to go and explore it, although I’m lucky I’m not too far away.

This is my second fave so far. I reckon the group should have a day out at the Dandenong Ranges to take some shots I think before the weather gets too grey.
Good reflection of the hut in the water.
Alex Stojan replied
Thanks Lisa, I gotta say I prefer my other Boatshed photo personally. Grey weather is the best for this sort of thing, provided there is some colour left in the leaves!
