When out in the saddle room today, I saw this Robin jumping up and down by the old window in an attempt to get outside again.I ran off as quickly as I could, and when I returned with the camera, a Wren had turned up on the other side of the window ! A rare chance of capturing a unique situation in a picturesque atmosphere!
When I was finished and the wren had flown away, I took the tiny Robin in my hand and released it outside so that it could fly off and enjoy the winter.
This must have been a unique series of events, having a Robin inside a building , having it in my hand, and seeing it study another bird almost as if it was asking for help?
The shot is almost directly out of the camera.Taken at my home at Nimtofte, in Denmark with a NIkon D700 and a 70-200mm, 2.8 lens.
