Glimpse of a Seraph

Nikki Trexel

Glimpse of a Seraph

A beautiful backlit flower reminds me of an angel’s wing…maybe it is a glimpse of that heavenly glory.

This was my first experiment with specific/intentional lighting. I shone a flashlight behind this flower in a dark room. I was pretty happy with the results, although the process was a lot more tedious than I’d have guessed.

Please see my Etsy listing for a slightly different version of this image – you have the option to purchase a pearlescent (metallic) print.

Would look very nice framed...

Oh my gosh! It does look like an Angel’s wing! I LOVE this, and the drop of water makes it interesting!

  • Nikki Trexel replied

Hmmm…I guess it DOES look like a water drop. Actually it’s just a tear in the petal…the flower is probably a week past its prime. I think it’s actually dead.

Nikki, yes, I see that now. But of course an angel would not have a tear in her wing….so I’m SURE it’s a raindrop!!!

(And it’s not dead….it’s ‘resting’! LOL!)
