On the way to Lochportain, North Uist

Having recently come across a photograph of the road to Lochportain by Kasia-D – see here , I was inspired to upload a photograph of my own taken on this most beautiful of roads on the island of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides.
In the foreground is Loch Dheoir, a sea loch, with the mountains of Li a Deas and Li a Tuath behind.
Thanks for looking and thanks for Kasia for the inspiration!

Richard, that is a lovely surprise – nice to think I inspired you to look through your shots from this beautiful area and thank you for the plug:-)
I like this view with the reflected light and the way the line in the sky extends from the line of the rocks. I think I stopped near there for some photos too, though it was not such a nice day. Have a lovely evening! Kasia

Thank you for commenting Kasia: a bit of sparkle on the water is always a bonus!

Yes Nat, a watery landscape that may be a few hundred miles from you watery land but not so far in shape and form.

Great shot of the stunning Scottish scenery!!

Thanks Shaun. It is hard to believe that I was once standing there listening to the water lapping at my feet, so clear in the silence all around.
