This landscape panorama is composed of three shots stitched together in Photoshop CS3. These features are volcanic plugs located in the Rio Puerco Valley of New Mexico. The weather this day was overcast and windy, with very light snow flurries. Those conditions aren’t conducive to New Mexico landscape photography, so this was more a scouting expedition than anything else. Toward the end of the day, some light did break through in streaks and spots, and this view opened up just as we stopped to appreciate it.
