The little egret is a small white heron with attractive white plumes on crest, back and chest, black legs and bill and yellow feet.
There are only around 160 breeding pairs in the UK, situated mainly on the South Coast and is a relatively rare visitor to the North of England. This was taken at Woolston Eyes in Warrington. www.woolstoneyes.co.uk which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest
