The Shaggy Ink Cap (Coprinus comatus) is a common Fungus, allegedly edible, that grows in meadows, woods and by roadside verges. They appear from April to November and are at their greatest abundance after rain. This one has been open for a number of days. The ‘Bell’ will eventually flatten out totally.
