I am a Dutch biologist who is currently living in Leuven, Belgium. Here i am working on a doctorate in science.
I’ve been seriously wasting time on photography since 2004 and in that time i’ve produced a number of pictures that people wanted to put on their walls.
Well, who am i to deny them that possibility? So, here i am and i hope you’ll like my work.
What you’ll see here are mostly animal shots. As a biologist, i have a passion for all the animals that the forces of natural selection have produced on this planet. In these shots i usually try to concentrate on showing the facial expressions and “emotions” in the animals. Other than that i love to travel around and take pictures of all the beautifull sites i see. In those pictures i intend to refrain from being too “arty”. I primarily want to show the beauty of that place as best as i can by focussing on lighting, angle and composition but not by focussing on odd angles, detail shots and photoshop acrobatics. I also have an allergy to HDR photography.
