Thank You Joanne! Even though there is no snow here in eastern Newfoundland yet it was bitter cold with the wind chill when I took this picture Tuesday. So cold it was playing havoc with my autofocus on my Canon 50D. So I focused manually using a technique I believe Ansel Adams used to use (would someone correct me if I’m wrong). To create this expansive dof I stopped all the way down to f25 and focused at infinity and “backed off a bit”. I’ve been doing this for years and it seems to work quite well!
