Hanakapi’ai Falls is located at the end of a 4 mile hike that begins at Ke’e beach at the north shore in Kauai. The first two miles of the hike is part of the notorious Kalalau Trail, and the second two miles is a separate trail up to the falls. If you are not a big fan of cliffs, mud, slippery rocks, running out drinking water, etc., this hike is not for you (or me). However, I am glad my wife and I decided to do it just to say that we did and because this waterfall is quite amazing. I only had about fifteen minutes to take photographs because my wife was wanting to head back before dark, so I grabbed my tripod and took as many shots from as many angles as I could. Hope you enjoy!
