Whisky Bends
What a glorious day it has been today (May 6th).
I spent all day at the coast, Whitley Bay and took over 300 photographs . . . not all of them are pretty . . . just look at the state of this building.

So sad. Whitley Bay used to be a great place when I was a kid – now it’s more like a shanty town.

I couldn’t agree More David, fancy leaving a beautiful old building like this to go to rack and ruin. Wonderful capture.

Thank you Noelene . . . yeah, this town (Whitley Bay) is a right dump now, such a shame because for many, many years it was the number one seaside holiday resort in the North East of England.

I made a typo above, the Restaurant in Newcastle is called = Rumpolis

Beautiful but sad photo David. Great colours and a lovely building. Shame it’s derelict, hopefully it’ll be saved before it’s too late.

Lovely building David, thanks for sharing the wonderful pic with us. ;-)

Thanks Mark. There’s places like this up and down the land, yet still loads of tramps sleeping rough.
Makes you puke doesn’t it!

I really think this is a case for the demolition men , the owners of these properties should be forced to either keep them in good order or demolish them , they are a blot on the landscape .
