Having visited many overseas countries and travelled extensively all over Australia since my early teens you can see by my portfolio that the Australian landscape is my favourite subject. I used to take slides because I liked the big picture but having been converted to digital I now shoot with a Nikon D5000, A Panasonic Lumix FZ18 (love that 500mm zoom) and a Samsung compact.

That’s me in 2013! Well, I hope so. The docs are talking about treatment in a hyperbaric chamber now. Bleh. Did you use a self timer for that shot, Terry? It’s given me an idea for video, though. Set it all up, dive back in the car, and whizz down the road. Hehe. Just like in the movies. I’m a member of the Grey Nomads forum now… pretty good info there as well as tales from travellers all over Oz.
Hope all goes well and you can get out on the track again Gary, would be great to meet up somewhere one day. I had my brother drive while I took the shot. When travelling on your own the only way to do it is like you said and then edit out you coming back for the camera. When I`m with someone and doing a movie I have a couple of hand held CB radios and organise the shoot that way. Will have to check out that site.
