Anyone who likes a pub crawl wouldn`t have to walk far here at Quorn in South Australia. Quorn was Rail town when the Ghan train used to pass this way before the new line to Alice Springs was built. You can still take historic rail tours here on Pitchi Ritchi Historical Railway.

Having visited many overseas countries and travelled extensively all over Australia since my early teens you can see by my portfolio that the Australian landscape is my favourite subject. I used to take slides because I liked the big picture but having been converted to digital I now shoot with a Nikon D5200, A Panasonic Lumix FZ18 (love that 500mm zoom) and a Samsung compact.

Yes! My kinda street! What a great shot, Terry. You know why they call it a crawl, don’t you. Hehe.

  • Thanks Gary, I thought you would like that.

By the way, you’re on the wrong side of the street, mate.

I thought it looked familiar in the banner! We visited Quorn when we came to SA for the 2002 solar eclipse, spending a week wending our way back to Canberra. As train buffs the line and Quorn were closely studied.

Very nicely shot too, with those appealing clouds to give the sky interest.

  • Thanks Odille, it is an interesting old town.

Great shot Terry. Surprised it’s a straight line after calling in to all those pubs..or is it a “before” shot?

  • Thanks Tony, must have been a before shot.
