I have no trouble being an Artist.I believe art should be created for the pleasure of others.So, as an Artist, I have an obligation. Since the Artist has been given the talent,it has to be put to use.
A real Artist has no choice.We will keep on painting or drawing or creating because we can’t leave it alone.Vincent Van Gogh sold only one painting in his life ,yet he could not stop painting. Starry, Starry Night, what a Complex man.
What motivates me to paint is very simple; it’s the urge that doesn’t leave me alone.If I lived to be 100 I would not run out of subjects to paint.
If my style is different from other Artists, then it could be because my personal feelings take over when I handle the brushes.
I think this is more of a “calling” to which you have no choice but to give in.
I am a self taught artist with a God Given gift, I study hard on how to improve and learn thru books work shops and my fellow Artist Friends.
I am a Native American Indian of the Cherokee and Chickasaw tribes.. I am registered as a Citizen of the Chickasaw tribe in Ada Oklahoma. My heritage has certainly been the driving force I use everyday with the love of this beautiful world of Art.
