I want to do as good as you!! I am learning, i want to specialize in this type of work. i think little baby and children fairies are sooooo cute…

My only secret is that I shoot hundreds of butterflies. I go to butterfly sanctuaries where they are plentiful (I’ve been to ones in Canada, Houston and Galveston.) That way I can always mate the perfect butterfly wings with the baby position.
When I have a baby come in for portraits and the mom wants a butterfly, I automatically ask her if she is interested in signing a modeling release for these types of shots. Usually I do one type of image that is available for portraits, and then at the end of the session I shoot the baby in a bunch of other poses in hopes of getting something that will work with one of my butterfly art images.
I think the pictures work so well because the “real” butterfly is really there on that flower. I have just removed the bug portion and replaced it with a baby. That ensures the lighting and all look very realistic—because it is!
