Little Light Lost Sympathy Card
This card was created for my web site Facts about Miscarriage in honor of my own baby Casey, who died at 20 weeks gestation. His sonogram is featured in this card along with the quote “I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.”
It has been precisely ten years since our first sweet baby died.

Casey – the idea for a sympathy card for miscarriage is genius. I had 2 miscarriages – luckily I had 3 other successful pregnancies. The miscarriages (1 with twins at about 16 weeks and one with a single baby at about 20 weeks) were so traumatic. I found out rather quickly that many people don’t have a clue about how hard this hits the parents and I got sick of people telling me “It’s for the best!” In my heart I knew that it was probably for the best but it didn’t help with the emotional end of things when people would say this. I just pray that this beautiful card will help many other parents to heal emotionally and for them to know that there are so many people who truly know what they are going through. Great job!

Wow…very touching and emotive. I haven’t experienced a miscarriage myself but have many family members who have and I know the pain it has caused them. I am at the other end of it where I have trouble conceiving…I was blessed with my daughter through invitro-fertilization.
I am truly sorry for your loss and congratulate you on sharing as it helps others cope and heal.
