THis is almost something out of a fairy tale!!!
Mythical,
magical,
mystical green
shrouded in mist
Spring’s new glory
seen
reflected
shimmering
in an ice cold stream
on a Dorset day
in a Dorchester dream
Yep…well something like that!!
Great work and brilliant capture.
What an awesome place for a stress relieving walk, but it still looks a little cool!..xxxx

Jan, you’ve done it again … perfect words to complement the image. Thank you so much. And yes, it’s not too warm in southern England at the moment – waiting for the sun to visit us!!
Linda Ridpath

Tessa Bishop replied

What a beautiful place in which to refresh the spirit, Tessa. Our little creek is suffering from the drought here in SE Australia. Lots of dead, crispy brown leaves, although there is some ‘greening’ after a few days of rain. There won’t be much more with winter on the way. em
Tessa Bishop replied
Em, you’re back!!!! Lovely to see you, how’s the research going? There’s lots of green around here now, spring has truly arrived, blossom on the trees, hope in all our hearts LOL!! Thank you x

What a beautiful place to be able to walk by in your lunch hour! A lovely scene that is nicely enhanced with the Orton effect.

Will be a while before I upload photos on RB. Still working on restoring photos for the DVD – not many more to go – then choosing the music, etc. It’s a lot of work which can become tiring in it’s required concentration, but I’m loving the memories invoked by many; and seeing old photos made in the 1860’s. Also researching an uncle’s part in WWII – RAF. Check ‘my favourites when I can! Thank you for asking. em xx

Hi Tessa…thank you so much for your kind words of appreciation for my words, but really the compliment is yours for it was your brilliant shot/your work which provided the inspiration to spark the writing.
With your permission I would love to upload the writing, including a link to both your profile/portfolio of work and this shot.
And if you are a member of or join the Exceptional Ekphrasis Group I can then enter it there, accompanied by your work, which you an then enter…if that makes sense.
But the greatest delight would be to use the words and give credit for their inspiration where it belongs…xxxxOoOoXx
It really is a stunning capture and a brilliant work!!

Of course you can upload your lovely writing and link to this shot Jan – I’d be honoured! I shall have a look at the Ekphrasis group – one I haven’t come across yet x
