Wow! ...up close and personal! I want to hear the story of how you spent hours in stealth mode, silently sneaking up to get this one quick snap shot. Beautiful photo, Terri.

Thank you all for commenting on this image.
This little note is particularly for Ted as he assumes that I am “sneaky”. :) I need to explain this: all my deer or other wildlife images are from “real relationships” moments. I don’t sneaky up on anyone. :) I spend days or maybe a whole season (sometimes more than one season) to establish relationships with those I encounter and then when they are comfortable with me (and River) and the camera, after asking their “permission”, I may take some shots. :) Just like how the fox taught the little prince to do in order to “tame” him in The Little Prince! And that, is also precisely how we develop such deep and intimate relationships in psychotherapy. :)

A wonderful shot, Terri, You really got a good look at this guy didn’t you. I just had a doe and a fawn run through the front yard. They didn’t stick around long enough to get their pictures taken. Darn.

Terri, your and River’s Deer friends and your life with them is something truly unique. Thank you for sharing these exquisite moments, which express how special you two are.
Thank you, too, for adding this adorable image along your pledge to Art for Conservation.
