I purchased these local Deacon Vale Farm quince for painting at the Farm Gate Store on Mayne Island. However, I took this photograph of the lovelies that I quite like.

Quince are in the same family as apples and pears but are not very tasty raw. I was told when I was done using them for live models they could be chopped up fine and added to my roasted root veggies for an addition of a bit of a lemony flavour.
