This Giant Sequoia tree (Sequoiadendron giganteum) was imported from California and believed to have been planted in Beacon Hill Park around 1913.

Its large low branches are a favourite with children and adults alike.

This tree just begged for the long shot from its intricate large girth up to its gnarled great height. I am sure it is a story tree with a paragraph available in each rubbed mark on its great surface.

There is something very restoring about being near trees. I love the words in your reply, so poetic, you should put them in your description! :-)

  • That is a great idea Astrid! Thanks for the suggestion.
