The Continuum

What have I done?
Attracted the best?
Attracted the worst?
In me perhaps.

What has lead me down a golden pathway
That is filled with ‘a promise’ that fades
As the pathway leads me on?

What seemed like yesterdays agreements
Are looking like today’s betrayals and
I can’t help this growing I said
And now,
I am the dust that blinds the following
I am the piece of glass in a wound
Of my lover
Festering like denial and hopeless
Choices
I am the betrayer for having wanted
More than the beginning
I had bargained for.

All’s I know is today is new
As I let it be
All my agreements of yesterday seem like
Kindergarten rules
Like sitting on a hill and seeing my friends
Sing round me
Hands clasped
‘And they all fall down’

Hey that was fun!
Who said that yesterday’s promises weren’t real?
Who said that kindergarten wasn’t fun

But today I am no longer a youngster
With the philosophy of One.
As I breathe and grow
I am forever reaching
For the parts of me that have called me
Forth
Forever.
Even my Spirit says,
I must grow
Even My Souls says
I grow too my love
I will never stop
This growing
They say
They are my way showers
My guides
As each time I desire more
Like a rocket they hop inside and fly
Forward

While I am left to walk on my bare feet
And calloused toes
Bleeding sometimes

That’s Ok..
I know when I get close to them
I know when my path almost merges
With their eagerness
For it is then I look around and know
That
All is Well
All is Good
And my smile lights up the sky.
