For the first time in months, we had a beautiful day! For the most part, the sky was blue. it was in the 50’s (yes, I know that is still pretty cool, but after the 20’s and 30’s it felt pretty good to me). We decided to head down to the beach, shoot a couple of lighthouses, look for birds, etc. Our first stop was Owens pond. As we drove by I saw how lovely it looked, and told my husband to turn around, we had to shoot Owens! Our very first stop!!!! My husband took one step on the ramp down to the dock and nearly landed on his backside. In the process, he jammed his finger into the rail. We ran into town and bless McDonalds, they gave us a big plastic bag of ice, and he insisted we go on our way. Well, one light house into the trip I looked and saw how swollen it was getting, sooooooo….we headed for home and spent the evening and into the night at the emergency room at the hospital. What a perfect way to end a lovely day!! By the way, his finger wasn’t broken….but it sure sounded like it hurt a lot!!!
