As I see it, the only benefit of our extended spring rains is the fact that my husband can’t mow the lawn every other night (which he hates), and the clover can come up enough to bloom (which he also hates) and attract the bumble bees. Here a little fellow is starting at the bottom of the bloom and working his way to the top. I guess every new job is just the same….you always have to start at the bottom of the ladder…..

Wow, Teresa, great macro work… excellent sharpness and color…. we have a lot of bees right now in Toronto but, I find, it’s the ones you aren’t photographying that you have to watch out for….Wonderful shot of this guy enjoying himself!

  • Thanks so much Kat!! I love the bumbles and honey bees, but I’m very careful about trying to shoot wasps! They get really cranky really fast!! LOL!!

Fantastic capture and wonderful detail. Bees can be so hard to capture.

  • Thanks so much Sean!! I’ve found the best time to capture them early in the morning, especially if its still pretty cool. They don’t move nearly as fast then!!
