Needed some quiet time to clear my head, so headed out to McLane Creek after work tonight. The Canada geese were absent (their babies have hatched and they have them in hiding), as were all the female ducks, but the red winged blackbirds were in abundance! The weather was really wild…sunshine one minute, and the next the rain was coming down in buckets. This was taken just before the rain, and it was getting quite dark. This fellow seemed to be annoyed with my presence tonight (he was just a grump…the rest of the blackbirds were much friendlier)! He read me the riot act for a few minutes, and here he was preparing to take flight!
