Orange Hawkweed ( Hieracium aurantiacum ) is a common wildflower also called devil’s paintbrush.
Its flowerheads resemble tiny brushes dipped in orange paint, and it can be a devil of a weed.

Plant: Erect, bristly-hairy, 1-to several-stemmed perennial 10-60 cm tall, with milky sap.

Leaves: Basal, tufted, 5-15cm long.

Flowerheads: Red-orange, 1.5-2.5cm across; florets all strap like, above a cluster of bracts with stiff, black, often gland-tipped hairs; flowerheads in compact, branched clusters of 5-30.

Blooms: June to August

Fruits: Ribbed seed-like achenes with a tuft of soft, brownish hairs.

Habitat: disturded sites
I took this photo in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA.
