Green Delight

Featured in All Countries ~ Wetlands, Ponds, Lakes and Rivers – Aug 9th, 2009

I was driving around the Grand Loop Road in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA and somewhere between Madison and Mammoth Hot Springs I found this small creek called Obsidian Creek almost completely covered with aquatic grasses. I love the way they bend with the flow of a waterway creating patterns and layers of green with some blue sky reflected in water. I just had to stop and take a picture and it was so worth it. I hope you agree.

wow, I love this photo hon, it reminds me of a very delicate painting. I bet there is a pool under there, looks like it

  • Teresa Zieba replied

It looked so lovely and so green. The patterns were left by animals I bet and by flow of the water. Thanks hon.

There were so many amazing views, and I know we spent 5 days and 4 nights there and I am sure we did not see it all.

  • Teresa Zieba replied

I’m planning next visit already. We definitely didn’t see all of it.

I love this but I almost wonder if the flowers actually take away from the composition.

  • Teresa Zieba replied

You might be right. I have a couple more shots at this location and I will try to post one without flowers so you can see what it looks like. Thanks for commenting.
