Teton Mountain Range reflection viewed from Schwabacher Landing.
Schwabacher Landing is on the Snake River, a few miles North of the Moose entrance to Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA.
This place is so breathtaking. Short visit is not enough to explore all there is to see and photograph but it gave me a taste and it will be hard to ignore the longing to see more in the future.

Canon XSi, lens 18-55mm, f/6.3, 1/50 sec, ISO-200, 32mm.

    Darn good work, Teresa! I have a question…since I find skies to be a pain to photograph I often use a graduated ND filter to provide more even tone in the photo. You achieved wonderful balance in your sky in this image. Did you employ a filter and if so, which one? The play of light on the high peaks is subtle and soft. Lovely!

    I did use a graduated ND filter on this one but it’s also a post processing with several NIK filters to achieve this exact effect. I wanted this soft and glow but dark at the same time look and this is the result I was after. I’m so happy you like it. Thanks.

    Teresa, wonderful capture! I was recently out in Grand Teton myself and agree with everything you said about the area in your commentary on this photo. I tell everyone I see, if you’ve never been there, you need to go before you die. It really is THAT kind of place.
