When I went to Grand Tetons I had a few places in mind that I just had to photograph. Moulton barn on Mormon Row was one of them.

Canon XSi w/18-55mm lens, f/6.3, 1/250 sec, ISO-200, 36mm.

Some images are great images purely because of the feelings, the mood, they engender. This is one.
Don’t get me wrong, its technically excellent as well, the composition is perfect, the colour is perfect, the subject matter is great, the sky is perfect.
But most of all for me its the feeling it produces that makes this such a great shot.
It feels like summer, I can almost smell the meadow and feel the crisp country air.
I want to lie down in the grass and look up at the clouds changing shape with a sprig of grass between my teeth.
I want to sit and listen to the birds as I soak it all in.

Thank you heaps Garth. Coming from you I take it as a great compliment and I agree with you. Grand Tetons were all about feelings. The majestic mountains, the buffalo roaming free, wildflowers and grasses and amazing skies. I was doing doing exactly what you discribed most of my time there. Well, maybe except for the grass between my teeth, lol!
