This is a full frame profile portrait view of a blue crowned pigeon. Photographed in southern USA during my recent trip to Florida with a Nikon D3s camera and Nikon 600mm lens.

Doesn’t get any better than this! Absolutely gorgeous! Love the intricate detailing of the feathers, the crisp clear focus, the complimentary colors in that smooth as butter bokeh, and of course that red eye which is such a riveting focal point! Congratulations!
Thank you very much Bonnie; I could not believe this was a pigeon when I first saw it; it somehow looks more exotic. They are quite large and the pair were not shy at all. The opportunity to get a nice image came when this one was standing on a railing.
