Once again I was a Mud Lake having not much luck on the ridge when another photogrpaher firend spotted other photographers’ lenses’ all pointed into the woods with serious intent. We arrrived on scene and noticed that the fuss was about this blackburnian warbler. It left and came back to this particular tree on several occcasions. Through a narrow opening in tree branches, I was able to secure a few good images, with this being my favourite.

I agree with your previous comments. A fabulous shot of a song bird that we have not seen here in Door Cty, WI although we have an abundace of song birds that visit our feeding stations.

  • Thank you Ken; and I hope you get a chance to see this colourful little warbler sone day

WOW . . . and I can see why this was your favorite image. This setting and the orange leaves seem almost custom made just for this shot and well executed to boot!! Excellent detail and DOF, nice even lighting, and soft, complementary background. I have only had the pleasure of seeing one of these blackburnians a few times very high in the trees with a couple throw away captures. Love the shot !!
