This black crown heron flew from one perch to another at Mud Lake in Ottawa Ontario Canada. Photographed with a Nikon D3s and Nikon 600 mm lens from a blind after waiting anxiously for hours for a moment like this.

    Looks like he is tippy-towing over the water like a ballerina (Swan Lake perhaps?)…NICE!!!

  • Thanks; I noticed that and blew it up to look to see if the tip touches the water ; I don’t think so as there is no ripple but it makes for a nice flying ballerina look
