Profile

I’m a self-taught artist, illustrator and writer.

After growing up with pencil, paintbrush and canvases in hand, many mediums and surfaces were explored. ie: window painting for area businesses and schools, wall murals, wood crafts and canvases.

After attending a Youth Retreat and drawing my first live portrait at twelve years of age, it opened up a whole new world of drawing for me.

In later years, various mediums and subjects were explored, from portraits to children’s books to landscape paintings.

While honing my art skills, because I’d also had an equal passion for the written word, especially children’s books, I decided to try my hand at writing. After joining a wonderful, online writer’s community, www.writing.com, I have learned to merge the art skills with the writing.

I am now confident enough with my skills to proudly say, “I am an Artist and Illustrator and Author.”
