This is an older work, around 2004 I believe. Its Main Street (Route 6) in a small mountain town in North Central PA, where my father was born and we still have family there. Most of the buildings are gone now, torn down this past year as part of the revitalization plan for Route 6, which is a very scenic road traveling in the mountains of Northern Pa. Figured since it no longer looks like this, I should put up the painting.

    I like your idea of preserving a record of how places once looked Donna, particularly when the record is a personal one. We often see this done by photographic means but less often by paintings.
