My Grandpa, George Kinport, on the left, enlisted into the army in 1916 and was sent to Camp Hagman in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This was, of course, during WW1.

I think the sign on the train says “Leaving Soo Falls”, making a joke of the name’s pronunciation.

His company was part of the American Expeditionary Forces that went to England, France and Russia in 1918.

There were cracks, scratches and spots that were in the original photo. Using Photoshop I was able to get rid of them with the clone stamp tool and spot healing tool. It worked very well.
