If I’m patient the break will mend
And one fine morning the hurt will end.

I heard Bernadette Peters sing this and, well… It became important to tell the story… to exorcise Mabel Norman from her grip upon me.

If not… click on that link I’ve dropped in and then… then.. tell me if you know… or feel what this beautiful youngster is feeling… here.

I wonder about that stuff… here

Or is it that time simply has the effect of fogging the senses, just like an image through a rain streaked window pain. Love the pensive, far away mood.

    or pane even… lol

  • Both of your comments are generous Marion. And you are reeeeeely correct by substituting pain for pane… In a way, I tried to superimpose both. Thanks…

The past begins to fade away, as the rain washes the pain. Memories will now and forever be there, but time makes them easier to remember. The look on her face is one of sorrow from the past… although the pain still tugs at her heart she can remember without the raw fresh cut it once had. The shadows and blurs of the past just beyond touch… always there, but in time we can remember without the heart wrenching pain. I think you have done this very well Ted. Hugs to you xx

  • A rain flecked window explains a lot Vonne. Or maybe it hints at more? Thanks for the wonderful feelings.

  • Thanks for discovering my inspiration Tracey… Jerry Herman? I think so, from Mac&Mabel? Yeah… I was trying to capture exactly that.

wow such talented writers here also..wow fantastic image Ted…a very emotional peice well done

  • As you can see from Tracey’s post, I was listening to Roberta Peters sing “Time Heals Everything” (you can find it on YouTube) and well, felt the need to express it. Wuddaya think? Can you hear those words as you peer through the April showered window pane?
