A boy imagines his toys
fly.
Which makes his spirit
Soar.

How’d I do this image? Um, sorta’ forget but somehow I opened photos I took of an antique toy plane and clouds over New Orleans and morphed them together with whatever tools I thought did the job best. Perhaps that meant Lucis filters, and maybe Photoshop’s own blur filtering. One of the original images was grabbed on my old Canon 20D through a macro lens. The other? Probably with a Canon 40D. I remember knowing what I wanted to do before the whole process began and this image tells the story that intrigued me. Which is a good thing, huh? Enjoy.

Aging… Um…. Maturing. Still wondering what I’ll be when I grow up.

Very cool Ted…I have no idea where you could put it though…UMMM what about Happy Haven?

  • Thank you Selina. There’s really no group for playing with childish toys. Or kiddie story art. Pity, a part of me’s never grown up… I’d like to enjoy it right along with the kids.

perfect ~ post in Live Love Dream ~ and someone should have this for their son’s room, don’t you think? can you post for sale? xx

  • At your suggestion Linda I’ve posted a larger sized image for sale. Thanks for the encouragement, and yeah, I created it with a boy’s room in mind… mine actually, when I was seven. I’d have dreamt adventures about it.

Great, love it the way it’s comming out of the clouds.

  • Thank you Mary, those clouds kind of define the adventure in my mind… and that patch of detailed blue down there below… that’s home. A young boy’s dreams always have home somewhere near by.

Awesome image Ted, I love it!
It inspires me to create more little boy art work (i have way to much girly stuff)
Which group of mine are talking about..?
I only host Rainbows, Owls and Hippie Stuff :o)

  • Sorry Amy-lee, I was confused when I contacted your group for ’Spirit’s’ submission. Although I’m totally happy I discovered the weirdly wonderful stuff. I’ll be back…. And thanks for the nice comments re. ‘Spirit.’

Just lovely, Ted. Congrats on your well deserved feature

  • Thanks Claudia… No matter how sophisticated we think maturity makes us… There’s always some childlike play that whirls around in our imaginations, eh?
