Allegory1: Pray Your Past Sleeps
Peer so nervously forward
Stay fixed on the prayer at hand
Hope hard that your past sleeps silent
It’s a monster they won’t understand.

I wonder about that stuff… here

wow ~ amazing art you’ve composed Ted ~ always an expectation fulfilled ~ the message is one that stirs ~ well done!! xx
Ted Byrne replied
You’re very kind Linda especially given your mastery (um, mistress-ery?) of the medium.
Cliff Vestergaard
Nice work Ted . Powerful work of art.
Ted Byrne replied
Zowie! A compliment from the master. If I blushed… I’d blush. Thanks Cliff.
Alf Caruana
Very well composed Ted
Ted Byrne replied
Thanks Alf. As I stood in this empty chapel the sense of something stirring in its silence was overwhelming.
Andy Smylie
Rather irreverent and scary. Great piece of work
Ted Byrne replied
Hmmm… perhaps you are right Andy… Irreverent is a sense that comes through here. Good. Sometimes I wonder how many people come to chapel a chapel to honor its god, and how many come to buy insurance for themselves. Which leads to a further wonder about the whole concept of reverence, eh? Thanks…
PNFdeb
very cool….
Ted Byrne replied
In fact Deb, the juxtaposition of color palette here was intended to contrast the warmth of the wood with the brrrrrrr-ing coldness of that beast behind the worshipers. As someone who powerfully controls palette to achieve emotional impact – I’m flattered that you liked the ‘coolness’ here.
F. Magdalene A...
The title gives me the shivers because it’s true.
I’m a bit speechless right now so I’ll just say this is raw truth in art.

Ted Byrne replied
Your work Magdalene is so powerfully evocative of things spiritual and mystical that I’m really impressed with your compliment. You have an ability to suggest things with form and palette which I obviously lack. But it’s good of you to find a message here which in some way resonates with yours. Thanks.
Heather Brown ...
this is amazing, and it inspires me from deep inside, thank you.
Ted Byrne replied
You know how much I appreciate your work Heather… it’s good of you to enjoy mine.
kamorphous
Beautiful, transcendent work.
Ted Byrne replied
For those of you who do not know, Kalliope has written,
:...and in this trembling cauldron
is where my life shall sit.”
which could be another interpretation of my feelings about this image above. Thanks for your reactions Kalliope.

I agree….
but mind recalls…
and the brain recalls with the idea of getting ready… learning.
Prayers should be donde in silence..
Here and Now..
unless they are…. lamentations…. selfish and thrifty lamentations.
Rosa (it is great the symbolism and the words…)
Ted Byrne replied
Rosa, you are one of my favorite journalists… Your talent for creating illios which demand meditation is wonderful. Thanks for causing me to think farther into my own image.
frankc
Great work…very eerie!
Ted Byrne replied
Thanks Frank. Given your ability to find and communicate ideas/feelings visually… it’s nice of you to feel my idea here.
Mary Ann Reilly
this is fabulous work Ted. So amazed and awed:)
Ted Byrne replied
Thanks Mary Ann. What makes me happy about this image is that the idea came first! Lovvit when that happens.

He could breathe you all in!
The hot alive ones on the earth and from the earth and the one above according to the church of Christian followers, and those who believe in God..It would certainly make you more enticed to be there and to be aweinspired if you weren’t already by a high ceiling church! Reminds me when I used to sit gazing at the rafters and the high ceilings which promoted higher thought in me from childhood. So do elephants.
blessed be
Ted Byrne replied
Thanks for thinking at me Samantha – after all, art that lacks wonder is merely craft. And as an agent of amazing wonder in your own portfolio – it’s good of you to share some with me here.

Superb execution of a very creative idea.
A mind blowing enigma – love it.
Ted Byrne replied
Many go to chapel to praise the Lord. Many other go to chapel to take out insurance. Still others to barter for life-improvements. I wonder how many go in hopes that the beast they’ve created through the history they’ve made will just stay quiet… asleep??? From an artist who can create images like “Offerings” ... I am reeely complimented. Thanks for your support Dave.
