This was taken on night shot, I was Intrigued by the light trickling through the bench. I worked on this in photoshop to get the image you see here! notice the man returning to his bench a “Sleeper” in the night!

This was Inspired by my estranged Father who spent most of his adult life sleeping rough because of mental illness

Day dawning, sleeper open your eyes.
The suns awake, the moon has gone to rest. Drowsily he packs his bags and walks away.
Now the Bench gets ready to face another day.

Two ladies come sit on the bench chat awhile. People pass bye and smile going on there way. Children climbing up jumping having fun.
Today there on there annual school trip.

A family with picnic sit and eat and rest.
Mum, Dad, two kids, baby.
They sit awhile, then off they go.
Down to the beach paddling splashing, having fun.

A man appears and sits to rest, he and his dog. Just popped out for a walk and fresh air.
He watches the world, dreaming of youth.
Seagulls flying, ice-cream stalls and candy floss.

The evening comes the crowds are gone.
A young couple now arrive.
They sit on the bench, whispering words of love
The moon gives its light, he’s watching…

Night is here, once again, darkness falls.
The sleeper appears from the shadows.
He spreads his bed upon the bench to rest at last. He sleeps per chance to dream!

bench homelessness, light night, bridlington, seaside

My husband watercolourist Glenn Marshall, called me Tech-no-chick when I first took up computer imagery and it has stuck.
All of my images are created from my own original photographs, sometimes with dramatic effects and sometimes very subtle.
I try to visualise a finished idea in my mind and hope to control the outcome. It doesn’t always work but it sure can be fun.

Enchanting words to go together an enchanting photograph. Your photograph is a pleasure to view and should inspire photographers to better their perception of angles and subject matter and lighting to get somewhere near your shot. EXCELLENT.

  • Thank you so much such a kind comment…
