Ebay.
Is anyone on here really experienced with ebay?
In my last journal i mentioned i was trying to sell my camera. Three different people have already tried to rip me off.
This is sad but I’ve never dealt with a money order. When you are shipping an item to someone and their sending their cash through money order…how does the process go?
Do you receive the cash first then send the item…? Is this the case ALWAYS?
This guy offered me a certain amount to take my item down so he could send me a money order. He sent it through this website

It seems a little weird, what should i do? I feel so stupid.

ALWAYS wait for payment before shipping. or at least a paypal confirmation thats they received payment.

I don’t like Ebay (and Paypal), as it has become too powerful. Agree with Dakolina. Payment before shipping.

I have to admit I’ve never participated in eBay auctions or sold anything through them. I’ve had positive experiences using the ‘buy now’ feature, bought many items with no issue. I agree with Dakolina as well – receive payment before parting with your product. Too many unscrupulous people on eBay.
Might also want to check out craigslist.com as a possible alternative.

as a regular ebayer please take my advice, never send anything until you have full payment, if this is a cheque wait till it clears, do not accept money orders unless it is paypal. Also this guy is breaking ebays rules and regulations and you could too. you need to report him to ebay, they are really strict on this type of thing. it may seem tempting for a quick cash sale but it is dodgy!.

Paypal is king when it comes to receiving payments, just wait until they have confirmation of payment as Dakolina said. My suggestion would be to leave your item on eBay no matter what, and if somebody offers you cash to take it down you should tell them to bid their price and if they win, everything is golden.
