Following in our own footsteps of SF1, we’re continuing the fun and bringing another artist meetup, art show, and a challenge your way! Whether you live anywhere near The City of Angels or not, there’s a way for you to get involved and bring more totally awesome design to Redbubble t-shirts.
So, here’s the details: Coming this December 13th, 2012, we’ll be partnering with American Apparel to hold an artist meetup and t-shirt design display at their headquarters and showroom in Los Angeles, CA. The LA Art Walk will be happening the same night, so it will be a big bonanza of all types of art on display at a variety of galleries on Spring and Main streets in downtown Los Angeles. The American Apparel headquarters is just a stone’s throw from here, so if you’re planning to attend, you’ll definitely want to put this on your Art Walk Map.
At our LA1 meetup, attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at the American Apparel facilities, speak to members of their Creative team, as well as meet Redbubble members from the LA area and Redbubble staff, including yours truly. One of our customer service support rock stars will also be on hand should you have any burning questions about designing t-shirts or anything else related to the Redbubble universe. Hope to meet a bunch of you there!
But….that’s not all! You can also participate in this event online. Enter our just-launched LA1 T-shirt Design Challenge from now until December 5th for a chance to get your design displayed and given out to attendees at the event. That’s what our first place winner gets, along with a voucher and Facebook glory goodness. There will be a second and third place winner too, who will also get displayed, featured, and generally lauded. The theme is Los Angeles in the 80s…how fun is that?! Endless amounts of inspiration to be had there.
So don’t delay…get to brainstorming, and whipping up a design as iconic as Marty McFly’s Delorean (just not that, we do want to avoid copyrighted works and all), and
in the meantime we’ll be dreaming of palm trees, the beach, and Hollywood in December.
