she vented forth
spilling out all the anger
that had built up over
too many years…
play nice
play fair
think of others
consider their feelings
be nice
be nice

the rage within
gnawing away
at the very soul
of her being
sinking
deflated
by so much
emotional purging
laid bare
exposed
raw
a blank canvas
to gather herself up
with warm embrace
to splash bright
vivid colours of
light
love
joy
into her life
for evermore…

I love the almost chant style of be nice be nice be nice, these sorts of words can lead to the build of frustrations that push the boundaries of the mind and in the end, always boil over the lip of the pot to hit the nearest person full on. Well done, I also like the turn around at the end, something so dark and intense changing into light and happy.
