The Key
Hat lady with cat and blue key, in a landscape. Acrylic on canvas panel, 8×10.
For reference I made a clay model of a hat lady, also took a photo of myself holding a key to get the hand and arm. The cat was done from sketches of my 2 cats, both of which are torti’s.
The Key belongs to the following groups:
1 on 1: The Fine Art of Portraiture , Acrylic Painting, All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical and For the Love of Cats , 1 image a day Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

I do photo references too.
I LOVE the brush strokes that make up her collar. The look on her face is soft and innocent. This is very nice.

Oooh I like this one too – has a nice air of intrigue… is it her key? Is she coming or going? Hmmm… I think she found it…
