Bentendo is a small temple hall located in the Daigoji Shingon Buddhist temple complex in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Japan.
The Daigo-ji complex has been designated an UNESCO World Heritage site.
Daigo-ji was founded in the early Heian period in 874.

The Bentendo Hall is dedicated to Benzaiten (Sarasvati), the goddess of knowledge and liberal arts such as music and is generally known as one of Seven Deities of Good Fortune (Shichifukujin).

    Very, very nice framing indeed. I am one who looks at the ‘pieces of the puzzle’ of a photo. The pieces are I see are the nice gap from little island to left side of frame, allowing a lot of the branches of the right hand tree to compliment the frame, getting the top of the shrine in the reflection below.
    A perfectly weighted wide angle shot. Congrats on a well deserved feature.

    I photographed the bridge at Byodo In and the 1,000 torii of Fushimi Inari but this is one gem that I missed. You have captured the setting so wonderfully.
