Tiger snake on Arm River Track, Tasmania by

Yes, I swore a bit…
I wasn’t really looking too much ahead of me. When confronted with this sight, I back-pedalled rather quickly.
Luckily all ended well – I kept my distance (obviously that was AFTER this photo), and stomped about a bit, eventually the snake took a leisurely approach to moving off.
I was only a few paces from this snake when I first saw it – what an adrenalin rush that was! Scared the &%$ out of me…

This image was taken in the Cradle Mtn Lake St Clair National Park in Tasmania. Specifically, along the Arm River track.

How much detail is there in my images?

    pretty snake

  • Um, okay, whatever turns you on :-) LOL
Yes, it is certainly one of the best specimens I have seen, and to have it laid out in front of me like that was pretty special I suppose.

I can’t look at that photo for too long, it gives me the shivers.

Well done Adam, I went outside on my deck at home, 2 days ago, & eventually looked down to realize that about 2 metres away in my garden was a very pretty tigersnake! I say pretty advisedly, of course. My bloody garden!!! That close to the house!!!!
They get the heart pumping every time don’t they????
