The Overland Track is known as one of the great bushwalks of the world.
This image has been taken with a subtle use of a technique known as HDR – it comprises of three differently exposed images blended together to produce a result of balanced exposure throughout the image.

There are two famous photographers in Tasmania that, one day, hopefully, if I’m lucky, a photograph of mine might be compared to.
Those photographers are of course Peter Dombrovskis and Olegas Truchanas.
Comparing a photo of mine with Ansel Adams is something somewhat beyond that, and to be honest, was something I was not prepared to hear (read).
Something everyone should take a look at – A video production titled Wildness was produced, featuring Dombrovskis and Truchanas – well worth a look.

I couldn’t agree more regarding HDR, so often overdone in my opinion. I like to reproduce images as I remember seeing them – how it appeared at the time.
Though I respect the artistic impression added by others, and their techniques, it’s not my thing.
